Alpha Course

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions to discuss the Christian faith in an informal, fun and friendly environment.

Who Is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is God’s only Son. When Jesus was born 2000 years ago in Bethlehem He changed the course of human history. He was the rescuer the people of God had been waiting for. Jesus had 12 disciples who witnessed the Kingdom of God break in as Jesus brought healing, restoration and forgiveness. He suffered and was crucified, died and was buried. Three days later, He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

St. John’s in Moira is all about Him. Our desire is know Jesus and make Him known. Jesus came to bring life, and life in all of its fullness. He came to forgive sin and preach the Good News of the kingdom of God. And today he gives life to millions across the world. Following Jesus is a life-changing commitment. Following Jesus isn’t easy. Following Jesus is a big decision. But following Jesus is so worth it.

Many people in Moira already know Jesus as their Saviour and as their Lord. Are you ready to join them in this life-changing adventure?

One of the ways we help people do this at St. John’s is through the Alpha Course. Find out more about Alpha by visiting
