At St John’s we believe in the importance of raising up Godly men of all ages who are passionate about their faith in Jesus Christ and the difference it makes in their lives. As the book of Proverbs says: ‘Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another’.
To do this we have two groups.
Men Together led by our Diocesan Reader Bertie Logan meets on the first Tuesday of the month in the Parish Centre. After a cuppa and some treats we look at a Bible passage, explore what it means and how it impacts upon our life. Conversation flows, the craic is good and very often we end up debating the big questions of the Christian life. We always end with a time of prayer for each other.
The Link is our men’s social group, which aims to meet monthly. From curry nights to 10-pin bowling and archery we do a range of things with the purpose of bringing men together to build friendships and have a laugh together.
